I am Alexa Schrickel, and I am currently working as a researcher on the topic of ketogenic diet treatment for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
I hold a Research Master's degree in Integrative Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh, where I developed a strong neurobiological foundation in understanding the complex interactions between the brain and behavior. In addition, I graduated with a second Master’s degree in Applied Cognitive Psychology from Leiden University.

By combining the knowledge from these fields, I strive to understand and advance effective, evidence-based treatments for ASD. Specifically, I am curious about leveraging the ketogenic diet as a potential treatment approach.
